About us

Christ Church is located at the corner of Main and Center Streets in Hornell, NY.

At Christ Church, we encounter God in the beauty of our worship space, in the welcome of our people, and in the prayers and tradition of the Book of Common Prayer.

We are an inclusive church, welcoming all who visit for any reason. We recognize that God’s love is abundant, and we long to share it and not to keep it only for ourselves.

We are an Episcopal Church in the South Convocation of the Diocese of Rochester, and our prayer unites us with followers of Christ locally and all around the world.

We are always happy to add another chair and welcome people in when we gather in worship and fellowship.

Our choir practices on Wednesdays and sings on Sundays twice each month during the school year.

Our congregation sings every Sunday, accompanied by one or more instruments: organ, keyboard, guitar, mandolin, and trumpet.

We host occasional concerts and special musical events as well.
