Though precise records of its design are unknown, the design incorporates both color work and layering that are typical of Tiffany Studios.

The window receives lighting from outside, so that the Holy Family and the shepherds are visible from inside even in darkness. Louis C. Tiffany's signature appears in the lower right corner.

The Rev'd Edwin Hoffman, who followed Rev'd Lloyd Winsor as Rector of Christ Church, instituted a memorial fund for Rev'd Window. The window, which contains the text of Psalm 23, was placed behind the altar in the sanctuary of the Church. The design, by Tiffany, is listed in Memorial Windows (1896), A Partial List of Tiffany Windows (1910), and Tiffany Windows (1980).
